Breeding Season for Raccoons

Breeding season for raccoons in South Carolina ranges mostly from January to February, with peak activity occurring in February.

Squirrel Season is here

Squirrel season is here and we can help!
Squirrels love to enter attics and sheds.
We will safely remove squirrels and clean up the mess.
We can provide repairs to prevent squirrels from reentering your house or shed.
If you hear noises in the attic be sure to call us today!

The two major breeding periods for squirrels, are December through January, and May through June, with some minor amount of breeding occurring through the year
Summer-born litters become active outside their nests by September or October. Because the autumn season provides a longer break between breeding periods, the family group will likely stay together somewhat longer before the adult female leaves or drives her young away. Whereas May-bred sows may leave their February-born litters at 8 to 14 weeks after birth, the July-born young will probably stay with the sow into December.

Rodents are on the Rise

Rodents are on the rise.Rodents are on the rise.

Disease-carriers, rodents do hundreds of thousands of dollars each year in damage to personal property, and they could be in your home without you even knowing about it. They chew cables, electrical wires, pipes, air conditioning ducts, wood, and other materials. It is estimated that 21 million homes are invaded each year by rodents in the U.S. alone.

Reproducing rapidly, a pair of rodents can produce up to 80 or more offspring in just one year's time. Snakes are known to move into an attic or crawl space in order to feed off of rodents. Baiting or trapping alone are not completely effective because it is nearly impossible to rid any structure of rodents unless those outside are prevented from entering. Call us about seal up.

Rodents can spread many harmful diseases, airborne pollutants and insects. According to the CDC, rodents spread over 35 known diseases world wide. Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome , Leptospirosis and Lymphocytic Chorio-Meningitis (LCM) are just a few. Rodents will also bring fleas, ticks, mites and lice into the home.

Rodents generally enter a structure through builder's gaps that are normally left during construction, dryer vents, airconditioner vents, plumbing and electrical entry locations, crawlspace doors, foundation vents, roofs, gable vents, chewed holes, etc. If you see any rodents, or signs of their activity in your home, chances are that there are more. Once rodents move in, they are there to stay. It requires a professional to be able to control a rodent population both quickly and effectively.

We will gladly remove snakes from inside your home, crawl space, yard, shed, pool, and even your attic. We occasionally will receive a call to remove a snake from under a refrigerator or washing machine. Snakes are sometimes found in closets and bedrooms. Following rat trails, snakes will enter the living space of your home searching for food.

Modern civilization has created artificial habitats. Positive values are environmental education opportunities. Negative values are disease transmission, life and injury threatening situations for both animals and humans.

Wild animals have been known to inhabit attics, chimneys, walls, floors, and crawl spaces to keep warm in winter, cool in summer, birthing and raising their young.

Rental properties that sit empty often fall into disrepair and quickly become an open invitation for rats, mice, raccoons, squirrels and other critters to move in. Foreclosures experience the same problems.

Problems to look for:

Feces · Stench · Chewed Wires · Tunneling in insulation · Dislocated Duct Work · Shredded insulation · Holes on exterior of home · Chew marks on exterior of home · Noises in attic wall or floor
